It’s official. The numbers are in. CFA exceeded its 2009 $100,000 matching grant and raised a total of $100,140. All told, that puts Compass’ official total of funds raised at $200,140.

We’re really good at mental math.

This is good news on two fronts. First, this money allows Compass to continue pushing forward. Already several new pieces of equipment have been purchased, including: new lighting equipment, a special effects suite with Adobe CS4 and Maya, and a sound booth for ADR and Foley work. Secondly, while the alumni did contribute over $3,000 to the campaign, they were unable to collect the $6,000 needed to shave Industry Relations Specialist Evan Koons’ head.

This is good news for Evan, his wife, and the community at large.

Thank you to all those who gave of their time and resources! We couldn’t have reached our goal without you!

The videos made for the Alumni Giving Campaign can be seen below in all their glory (Episode 3 is a must see).
